Removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere is looking like a critical necessity for reducing the amount a greenhouse gasses that are a cause of Earth’s growing climate problems. One of the technologies designed to help clean carbon dioxide out of the air is being developed at ASU’s Center for Negative Carbon Emissions, directed by scientist Allen Wright and Klaus Lackner, a Fulton Schools professor of civil, environmental and sustainable engineering. With carbon dioxide levels continuing to climb, Wright says it’s important to get carbon-capture technology ready for large-scale use.
