ASU students build robotic seeing-eye dog
A robotic dog designed to assist blind people earned a team of Fulton Schools students a top prize at the international Intel Cup student technology competition. The team developed computer software and hardware that enabled their robot to interact with a small wheelchair. With a GoPro camera for “eyes,” the robotic dog can help the wheelchair navigate around obstacles. ASU teams have now won a first-place prize in at least one of the Intel Cup event categories for the third time in a row.
