Welcoming the 2022–2023 new materials science and engineering faculty
The School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy is proud to welcome three new innovators for the 2022–23 academic year. Assistant Professor Hamed Arami joins the materials science and engineering faculty from Stanford University. His research combines materials science with bioelectronics, nanotechnology and molecular brain imaging. Assistant Professor Linqin Mu, who earned her doctoral degree at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, strives to develop advanced electrode materials through degradation mechanisms. Assistant Professor Sandhya Susarla joins the faculty from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and focuses on electron microscopy, condensed matter physics and quantum materials.
