Roundabout considered at busy intersection
A road intersection at which traffic accidents are occurring more frequently has local government leaders of the town of Fountain Hills considering converting the intersection into a roundabout traffic circle to reduce the numbers of automobile collisions. For research on the impacts of roundabouts, the officials are turning to extensive studies by Michael Mamlouk, a Fulton Schools civil engineering professor. Mamlouk has studied numerous roundabouts in Arizona to assess their effectiveness in preventing or reducing automobile accidents. Read more about the research.
