In the Lab: Building the next generation of experts
Fulton Schools alumnus and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Reid Buckley, who graduated from ASU in spring 2018 with a degree in chemical engineering, is working with leading science and engineering researchers at the prominent Los Alamos National Laboratory. Buckley is considered by his chief mentor in the lab’s High Explosives and Technology group to be one of the next generation of leaders in the field that is important to national defense missions, particularly efforts to combat terrorists. Buckley says he is getting the equivalent of a masterclass in explosives of the past, present and future, and the chemistry involved in advancing the technology.
