The global reach of modern communications networks and technologies and the effectiveness of well-honed psychologically sophisticated methods of influencing public perceptions are being combined in a new and growing political and cultural propaganda tool described as “weaponized narrative.” Fulton Schools Professor Brad Allenby and ASU Research Professor Joel Garreau, co-directors of the Weaponized Narrative Initiative, gave a primer on the subject to New York City radio talk show host Leonard Lopate.
